Ever thought to donate for a child’s education?

15-year-old Khushboo secured the 16th position in Bokaro District, scoring 92% at the State Matric Exam, 2019. But success did not come easily for Khushboo. She had to study in the doorway of her dimly lit home with no windows. The school she studied in had six teachers for 750 students. But all her hard work has paid off.

She dreams of becoming an Engineer and wants to clear the IAS exam. Khushboo is World Vision India’s sponsored child. She is active participant of every programme conducted by the NGO. “It was because of the help from my sponsor that I could study well. I thank World Vision India for the changes in my life”, says Khushboo.

Her dimly lit house has no windows and the only place where Khushboo and her two siblings study is at the doorway. And her hard work has paid off.

“If you compare children and parents who attend World Vision programmes to those who don’t, one can easily see huge difference in terms food habits, cleanliness and education. It is because of World Vision India that we have the awareness to raise children and invest in education,” said Chandmuni, Khushboo’s mother.

The future looks good for Khushboo and her siblings Rajveer, 13, and Ranveer, 8. Chandmuni sits with Khushboo and helps her solve maths problems. They can bond over sin, cos and tan and this was unimaginable in her generation. She couldn’t fulfil her dreams of attending college and now she is living that through her daughter’s success.

Khushboo never attended a private school and her success is a testament of her commitment. The RHS Lakrakhanda School which she attends had only 6 teachers for over 750 students. Nothing comes easy for Khushboo, nothing is a given. According to her mother, Khusboo has given her life to education and that has made the difference.

Khusboo’s dream of becoming an engineer and clearing the most prestigious exam in India, the India Administration Service has begun well but she has a long way to go. In the next three years she will pursue Electrical Engineering from Government Women Polytechnic College, Bokaro.

“Because my sponsor made a decision to donate for a child’s education, I have been able to study well. I thank World Vision for the changes in my life. I attend every World Vision program and have got lots of encouragement. My family and I want to thank you for all the help,” says Khushboo holding the letter from her sponsor in her hands.

When sponsors like you commit to help a child of India; you make an investment in the life of the child. This type of investment will bring the greatest gains or happiness and satisfaction. If not for sponsorship, Khushboo would not have had the motivation to pursue education with determination.

There are lakhs of children like her who have the aptitude and skill to study but do not have access to quality education. Charity organizations like World Vision offer the best sponsorship programs through which you can help a child of India. Donate for a child’s education and make sure they have the opportunity to be included and experience success.
